In South Gloucestershire as a whole approximately 32% of young people currently participate in Higher Education. However there are areas where participation is less than 16%. The Aimhigher West Partnership provides support for all state schools in South Gloucestershire, but works most intensively with those schools whose pupils come from low participation neighbourhoods. The Partnership funds Aimhigher coordinators in these 'target' schools.
The Aimhigher West Area Partnership also funds Aimhigher coordinators in FE Colleges in the West Area.
