What Do We Do?

Our overall strategy is to deliver activities designed to raise awareness of, and aspiration to Higher Education, to contribute to raising academic attainment necessary to progress to Higher Education, and to target the activities to those areas identified as of highest priority to facilitate widening participation.

Activities include:

• Events with schools and colleges for those on vocational and academic routes, such as:
        -      Taster days    
        -       Visits and open days
        -       Summer schools
        -       University and college students working as
                 mentors or tutors with school pupils
        -      Talks for parents/carers
   
• Work-based activities, to encourage those in employment and training to progress to higher education
   
• Advice and information about the range of higher education opportunities available in the locality to young people, their parents/carers and teachers
